And then the Hard Ones.
I could write volumes here, but I will save it for other blog posts. I am a woman who has tussled with being herself in a world that has many boxes to stuff you in, in a life that is designed to make you conform. Lucky for me, I finally took to heart those instructions Paul wrote: Be not conformed to this world, but ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect will of God. (Romans 12:2 KJV)
So, I am a woman who has stopped tussling with herself and has begun shucking off the boxes that people like to stuff me in. My goal is to be honest about who I am and how I am becoming in Christ Jesus, Who has (through the shedding of His blood and the washing of His word and the leading of His Spirit) made me to know what it means to be holy.
I am not perfect, though.
I struggle with anger. Offense. Fear that I won’t get to that expected end. Regret. Envy. Depression. And sometimes? I wonder if I’m even going in the right direction.
Which is why we are here. It is for FREEDOM that Christ set us free; so I am outchea showing y’all as I obtain freedom and all the little dusty rough patches that come with it. Nobody’s perfect, but Christ in me. So that’s what we working with. Thank you for joining me on the journey of a real time change.
