“And do not be conformed to this world [any longer with its superficial values and customs], but be transformed and progressively changed [as you mature spiritually] by the renewing of your mind [focusing on godly values and ethical attitudes], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His plan and purpose for you].”‭‭

People will slap a sleeping bear then cry foul when the bear slaps back.

MAKE IT MAKE SENSE.

But when you give your life to Jesus Christ, you don’t get to be the bear anymore. When Paul said, “Let God upgrade you by changing your thinking” (Romans 12:2), Paul was referring to transforming into the IMAGE of Christ.

It becomes your pleasure—your worship, YOUR REASONABLE SERVICE to God in Christ to be transformed into the CHRIST image, a lamb, wise but gentle and willing to lay down your life to cover others in layers of God’s love.

That’s our game/set/match. Our winning hand. Our mark of high calling. To be as HE is. To look like Him. Think like Him. Act like Him. Walk like Him. Talk like Him. Obey like Him. Glorify the Father like Him. Have others experience God’s presence because they are with us—LIKE HIM. Go about healing—like Him. Make real disciples—like Him. Go all the way—even unto the death—like Him. Cuz that’s the reasonable service, you know. That transformation into living worship. Like Him.
