Triolet– A/B/a/A/a/B/A/B rhyming pattern.

So I took the #Triolet Challenge as set forth by the blog “We Drink Because We’re Poets” (now defunct, I believe) on August 5, 2013. It is an interesting structure that lends itself to iambic tetrameter–at least for me. It felt natural; though I have always told myself that I may attempt it with another rhythm, no other pattern or thought ever came up for me. This is what I came up with on my first try, and ever remains a poetic prophetic testimony to the powerful love of God.
The “Things” mentioned started out as physical stuff—cars, money, jobs, that kind of thing. But as I’ve grown to know Him in the beauty of His holiness, I’ve found things, intangible things, that money could never buy, hands could never build, and people could never offer.
And He keeps on doing great things for me.
Enjoy! I will be sharing some James Weldon Johnson, I think, this week since Resurrection is upon us.
