There is a difference in believing in Jesus Christ and following Christianity as it is presented as a religion.
Those of us who follow Christ? We don’t live any kind of way. I can say that without shame.
How can I?
I remember who I was, and how I still am. That God loves you just as much as me—even when you don’t believe in Him or on Him. Jesus is for everybody—even the ones who choose to not believe. With that in mind, I minds my business and love people as best I can. Cuz I know who I was, and who I can still be. I didn’t become magically great because I chose Yeshua Hamashiach; People who act like they did? They is a whole full on lie. In Jesus name.
We are called to love, not judge or punish or decide, even within the law and the letter thereof.
I think abortion sucks—but it sucks no more or less than so called Christian conservatives constant push to not help those in need in their states and in communities or the wars we fight in other people’s countries like they asked us to do all that or the fact that we let more pedophiles go than we do people who just steal $5 worth of food.
That same foul spirit of hatred and desire to oppress hides behind religion—but not Christ. Christ is the light of the world. When He is in what you do? Everything shows: good, bad, ugly, or indifferent. He exposes the matters of the heart, and in doing so? Makes you choose WHOM or WHAT you will serve.
But make no mistake. You get to choose.
The people who are hype about women losing the right to choose—and make no mistake, it is a right because God gave us the privilege to choose how we govern ourselves each one individually—don’t really love people or God.
They love themselves. And in doing so? They fulfill the criteria found in Romans 1.
Folks read that and jump to homosexuality but reality is that it encompasses every rebellious mindset. Unnatural is more than just sexual perversions. It is also the ways in which we have no empathy or compassion for others. How we revile one another. How we destroy each other. How we look down on others as lesser. How we feel no affection—even for children, or mothers, or the sick, or the elderly, or our neighbors.
When I see what is happening, I yet know that God is in control; I also perceive that these things aren’t just about unborn babies. It’s about what’s on the tablet of the hearts of those who call themselves Christians. Jesus didn’t stutter NEVER: whatever we do unto the least of these…
I keep saying it. The judgments are written. There is no thunderbolt coming to crush you like in the Greek mythology. What is sown shall be reaped—and that a full harvest.
Women: I am praying for you. For your safety. For your salvation. For your courage in talking to and educating the young women in your life about their value. For your perseverance. Whether you agree with this decision or not? God’s love is for us all. And He is looking for us to keep that same energy with each other.
