Boaz ain’t for YO… OR: Be careful what you wish for…

Stop trying to find a Boaz.

Ruth was a widow who followed her childless widow of a mother-n-law to a foreign country and then proceeded to get married to her MIL’s oldest cousin on her dead husband daddy side so she could have a baby to give her her childless widow of a mother-n-law. Yeah. That baby was given to Naomi so somebody could take care of her and continue her (Naomi’s) dead husband family’s name. He was NAOMI’s redeemer.

You is NOT a Ruth.

So.

Stop looking for a Boaz.

Because THAT LEVEL OF SACRIFICE? Well. Obedience is better than sacrifice. And I’m pretty sure God already made plain to you what to do according to His Divine Will, so OBEY that and He has a plan for you to be blessed in the ways He promised according to HIS DIVINE WILL that don’t require you to do nothing but BELIEVE on Jesus and OBEY HIS WILL AS HE LAY IT IT IN FRONT OF YOU.

If you take ANYTHING from Ruth beyond the type and shadow of Christ as our Redeemer Kinsman? You should see the importance of having elder women in your life who are shrewd and discerning and can set your feet on the path of righteousness instead of your following your heart into foolishness. Ruth OBEYED Naomi; Naomi led her through the process that got them both back on they feet fully: familial and financial. #PlayWithSomebodyElse

YOU STILL WANNA BE A RUTH? Then you better learn LOYALTY over what you LIKE, sis. That’s the story of RUTH.

Mkay? Mkay.

P.s. don’t believe me? Go back n read the scripture for yourself. 🙃

“So Bo‘az took Rut, and she became his wife. He had sexual relations with her, Adonai enabled her to conceive, and she gave birth to a son. Then the women said to Na‘omi, “Blessed be Adonai, who today has provided you a redeemer! May his name be renowned in Isra’el. May he restore your life and provide for your old age; for your daughter-in-law, who loves you and is better to you than seven sons, has given birth to him.” Na‘omi took the child, laid it on her breast and became its nurse. The women who were her neighbors gave it a name; they said, “A son has been born to Na‘omi,” and called it ‘Oved. He was the father of Yishai the father of David.” ‭‭Rut (Rut)‬ ‭4‬:‭13‬-‭17‬ ‭CJB‬‬
