Cry your last tears

“You keep track of all my sorrows. You have collected all my tears in your bottle. You have recorded each one in your book.”

Psalm 56:8 NLT

I cry. A lot. When I am full of any emotion: joy, frustration, sorrow, weariness, anger, despair, happiness. I even weep when I am in the presence of God.

I know that down here on earth, my tears don’t mean much. I’ve even had someone tell me to my face that my tears didn’t matter to them. 🤷🏾‍♀️ But I love the Lord, and THE LORD hears my cry and pities every groan (getchu some Dr. Watts, mm’k?). God loves me so much that God keeps track of all my sadness and puts these tears I cry in my broken moments in a bottle. He remembers my sorrows by writing them down.

And one day, God will wipe all these tears from my eyes, and there will BE no more sorrow. In the meantime, I cry unto the Lord who bows His ear to me to listen to my complaint before empowering me to get up and move on.

Said all that to say: It is okay to cry. Just don’t get stuck in your emotions. Allow God to catch those tears and then move on. It doesn’t really matter how anybody else feels about em.

God cares. That’s all that matters.
