Ain’t NOTHING is worse than an old fool.

Living passed 50 ain’t it. It’s too many people who’s hairs have gone gray but still lack understanding for that idea to be true.

Being old don’t make you an elder.

Age don’t make you wise.

Years don’t come with automatic respect.

You become an elder by leading young people. You gain wisdom by God, who forces you (through chastening) to learn from your mistakes. You gain respect by being a person of character and integrity. You’re lucky if the “kids” been raised right to give respect regardless—it’s not an entitlement.

The word says that God gives wisdom to those who ASK for it, and that you gotta GO GET WISDOM AND AN UNDERSTANDING. The word also says that the fear of the Lord is wisdom, and avoiding evil means you understand the wisdom of God (Job 28:28).

Let’s stop attributing wisdom automatically with age when the word of the Lord is clear.
